Leave it to a newby to invent a new problem. Here goes...
I have been using my wife's electric skillet (problem one). I know it is ruined. I am getting her a new one anyway. The top is broke and non-stick bottom is scratched.
Problem two is this...
Evidently solution has splashed out in to the bottom. I now have a coat of fine gold flakes stuck to the pan. I have tried to scrape it off with my fingernail.
What wise person has a solution for getting my gold out of my pan.
Glenn

You could add a little bit of HCL / Cl and dissolve the gold.
Knowing of course that you will really need to wash the gold well after
you eventually drop it with SMB.

I would just wipe it with a paper towel or filter paper, and then add it to my burn pile for when the gold tied up in the filters is recovered.
It all ads up, but is a hassle for small amounts. Its better to just save it,and deal with it later

It is an electric skillet which means it is possibly made out of aluminum.
