Hi, I need help, I was pouring Sodium Metabisulfite into a gold liquid in aqua Regia an while it was busy fizzing I poured water by mistake and now it stopped fizzing an the SMB is just settling at the bottom. Please what an I do to remove that water or to get the procedure right after this mistake?

Please.

You really dont need to worry about removing the water. It wont hurt a thing.

You need to remove the free nitric acid. Via evaporation or addition of sulfamic acid.

Thats what I am going to presume anyways, with the limited information I have in front of me. Thats always a big problem for beginner's of the art.
