Ok so I figured out what's going on. This is my gold oddly enoughView attachment 66345 Dirt is not reactive enough to dissolve at a rate clear to the eye least sodium nitrate so neither would tar right or bitumen unless because their both just organic matter one really compressed one not. But rn i worked up the courage to treat my heavy coal weighted and colored inside with what I believed was gold with hcl and sodium nitrate clearly green seems like it's gonna take forever though so I set it in a bucket with lid part of the way off in a large Mason jar surrounded by a mountain of baking soda nudged it right in there outside. Any way to speed it up other than heat I'm tired and need sleep. Any action gonna take place bad if I shut my eyes. I'm a very paranoid creature mind you worried and anxious all the time. Also guy I sent a 200 dollar m/o to tipped me off a little. I'll test with stannous when I get it dammit. Mail runs super slow rount here

That might depend on the age and source of the Coal.
I have never heard about it in nature.
But activated Carbon is good at soaking up Gold.
Anyway Yellow do not equal Gold, there are a multitude of yellow substances out there.

Coal is not soluble in any of the Chemicals we use.
It needs to be burnt to ashes.
And that means completely to ashes.
Then you can treat the ashes for what ever values are in there.

That might depend on the age and source of the Coal.
I have never heard about it in nature.

Used way too much lye 25g but hey I was expecting red and got red. Yay I'm a color coordinated excited wisdomated about using a gas mask every time amateur chemist. Hey I was expecting red from 1-3 sodium hypochlorite bleach mix. rhodium was what I was hoping for/my aim from the assay if you scroll up. Started by crushing rock from my pile hoping they'd be like twice the rhodium on the assay and the few I put in my yard in an unsuspecting pile then I used a bean grinder made it real powdery 75g test phaze with 176ml bleach 360ml hcl low grade forgot ml were a little different than g. Am I being an idiot or is this rhodium says iron would be green precipitant BTW ai said it and does all my calculations... and Coughed my ass off i will never so help me Jesus do it without a mask again. I popped a freaking iodine tablet I'm ok now just scared me

So next time I've got some sodium nitrite otw planning to not only roast my rhodium ore first but use the nitrite to firstly react then back into solution of bleach drop with small amount lye all while wearing mask even melting with oxy acetylene from bottom of cupel with a mask i have 3 just in case I'm getting helped to crank up the torch for some reason? To get like 90% pure rhodium according to assay

This post don't make much sense without some background.
You added 25g Lye to what?
Please describe what material, what you did to said material and which chemicals you added for which purpose?

You call it Rhodium ore.
So you have an NiS assay confirming this or at least some mass spectrographic assay?

Can you elaborate a bit here. Sodium Nitrite and what?

And then Bleach and HCl I guess, but you do not explain much.
I'm not entirely sure HCl/Bleach will dissolve Rhodium,
even hot AR has a hard time dissolving Rhodium.

What are you using the Lye for?
