Hello and good evening,
My name is Chris. I am new to this but already have melted down and refined some silver. But after researching I noticed some people have used electrolysis to refine their silver to an even higher percentage. I usually use nitric acid to break it down and after it has completely dissolved filter it through coffee filters. Then let a copper coil I make set about two inches in mixture that helps silver cement and fall to bottom. Then filter rinse and melt.
After all this I was wondering if this is fine or is there a better more efficient way like through electrolysis and does anyone know how to make one.
Sorry if there is already a thread on here about it. Would love anyone and everyones feedback
Thank you.
