Anyone know where I can get decent cupels in quantity for a good price?.. I'm tired of buying single cupels on Ebay for 6 bucks or so plus another 5 or 6 for shipping (it seems, I may be exaggerating, though)..

Thanks,
Derek

I've bought from them several times. I've used the bone ash and the magnesite for fire assaying with no problems. The magnesite is much cheaper. There's another type called "composite", which is a mix of bone ash and Portland cement and is cheap, also. The bone ash is the least durable of the three.

so they're pretty good on their pricing then?... I'm a bit heavy-handed with the torch, not enough experience to have the right "finese", so I'm thinking I should go with the sturdiest for now.. which would you recommend til I get the technique down a little better?..

Thanks again!
Derek

thanks man.. yeah I saw somewhere on another thread he aid he buys them by the bunches cause he breaks them all the time (unfortunate for him, but rather fortunate for me .. made me feel less bad about breaking the two I had the first day I had them.. ;) )

I just bought a case of several hundered last week. The shipping was more than the cupels.

Anyone want some?

Steve
