A serious seller would present a proper assay with all of the details. I suspect the OP is just kicking the tires here.
Osmium-iridium minerals exist... but TONS of it? ALL composed of this mineral alone? Yeah, no. The OP may have found a super-rich piece of pure mineral from the vein and selectively assayed that one rock... but that's NOT a genuine way to perform an assay. As we all know, one must RANDOMLY SAMPLE from many spots in the vein and get an AVERAGE. Otherwise, the result is exceedingly misleading.A serious seller would present a proper assay with all of the details. I suspect the OP is just kicking the tires here.
Please let us discuss contract terms upon which all further details would be furnished. In what region of the world is the ore?
The sample was processed through chemicals before putting into the furnace around 2100 ºC to achieve the metal. As mentioned 1.5 Au still remains but that was sufficient to get the accurate measure of Ir. Once contract terms are negotiated, further assaying could be provided.Question about the "blob" you melted. What type of furnace are you using? Creating a blob requires that you can attain temperatures close to the melting point of the metal. In the case of Iridium that is 4400º F. (blobs to me are partially or somewhat melted metals formed from insufficient temperatures) blobs do perform somewhat better for an XRF, better than powder.
Any worthwhile guarantee would include actual fire assay and ICP to concur with your XRF claims. Only at that point would funds be released. In other words, the buyer guarantees payment if the material assays as claimed. The money can be held in escrow from the time of shipment to the actual verification of assay. Now that would be a guarantee with teeth!
Please let us know your contact so our team can make arrangements for the sample delivery. Also required is your company or project profile. You can send these details directly on [email protected]This may be unusual but if true is just too good to pas up. Before we take the time to talk about all the arrangements - shipping/insurance/payment methods and terms/impurities that so greatly affect refining method/and so many more, send me 20 pounds so I can be sure my lab is properly/safely equiped to refine your ore.
To me it seems you don't know how these kind of deals are handled. Please let us discuss contract terms upon which all further details would be furnished.
You are quite right as I am new when dealing these online and cannot risk my assets to anyone out there. To me it seems you don't know how these kind of deals are handled.

Your only option i to be open and transparent.

As for the sample, only <5Kg will be available to the potential buyer who is willing to pay for sample delivery cost as well. Contract negotiation and exchange is the stage where serious parties engage openly and transparent. If this sounds something you are interested in, please send direct email to my Gmail account.

Yggdrasil is polite, at least on this forum, and has done nothing to indicate otherwise. As a moderator, he has responsibilities, in part, to encourage that all potential business dealings are proposed with full disclosure, at which you have failed thus far. Then please be respectful to all members new or old.
