I would like to know how to remove iron and copper from this to separate the PMG metals

HCl will take the Fe, Ni and the Zn.

I'm a bit curious, what is this exactly that you're planning on dissolving? I'm no expert by any means, but I find it odd that you have precious metals alloyed in with iron. Would you mind posting a picture of whatever this is (metal ore, a weird melt, piece of an alien ship)? Thanks.

I'll chew on some chemical stoichiometry to see if I can get you some numbers for dissolving this. I'll be assuming you'll use 30% HCL.

Where did this come from?
Ore?
XRF without the correct libraries will often mistake
amongst other things Arsenic for Iridium.
It is not advisable to process ore in acids without a proper assay.

It looks like clumps of rust very brittle from an older mine dump mine is closed down.

I can not help u with a photo because I was told yesterday that even a small amount found in my possession would lead to criminal charge so. I DUMPT it this morning.
