Is this rhodium?

A friend of mine found several slag looking rocks like the one on the left on my property and says the smaller specimen on the right came out of the middle of one . He thinks it's rhodium? It does have the mirror like shine but I don't know. Can someone tell me what they think it is?

Nobody can tell unless you test it.
And that can be expensive.
Most likely not anything precious.

It’s a rock unless you can prove otherwise.
Have you any reason to believe it’s rhodium , does your area have a history of producing one of the rarest metals on earth.

Its likely pgms and or micron gold.

I have around 750lbs of pgms prospected over the last 4 years. I got specimens of all sorts. Including pgm wire. Nature makes spectacular stuff.

Yep, I been prospecting hard 4 years. I plan on doing assay etc soon. 750 to 800lbs in over 4 years I better be onto something. I learned all the secrets for my area so its satisfying to treasure hunt either way still lots to learn. I noticed there was a gal posted on facebook with a coppery color nugget that is gold pgm. (Third pic button) So theres pgms all over. We happen to have amazing pgms. Record setting. But hey if I test and sell I will donate to grf so lets hope its legit stuff.

I'm in another continent and have not access to XRF.
Anyway it don't matter much as XRF are quite unreliable for PGMs, unless it has a full library, are well calibrated and have a competent operator.

Might be terrestrial glass with metals in it. I get that stuff. Plus nuggets. Different composition.

In the terrestrial glass I get the gold, pgms etc are excreted in high temperature high pressure air burst or impacts from meteorites in a vapour deposition process same for the diamonds in my area.
If thats what he has vs a man made slag stash which seems unlikely to me then its interesting.

Most of the objects in this picture is man made.
Broken bottles other glass and Iron slabs cut with a cutting torch.
I think you need to be more selctive with what you pick up.
