Hi everyone, i got a possibility to get quite a quantity of Kay Fryer Cleanser for free but i fail to find anything about it's chemical composition, and i was wandering if i could use it for some gold recovery reactions i hadn't thought of yet or maybe some different chemical reactions with different metals also i can get my hands on some Magnesium Chloride so maybe it could come in handy as well. Maybe someone got any ideas or information about Kay Fryer Cleanser composition ? Since Safety Data Sheet's doesnt contain any specific informations.

What is its main use, is it a detergent?

I cannot think of any use for MgCl2. It's a neutral salt of an alkali earth metal, with no redox potential, or the ability to perform any cationic exchange meaningful for PM recovery.

As for the fryer cleaner, it appears to be a degreasing agent with an active composition based on sodium carbonate and dichloro-triazinetrione. I do not see any potential application for refining metals.

Magnesium chloride saturated solution is used as a hardening mineral binder in the production of magnesite crucibles from magnesium oxide (known as Sorel cement).
 
Noice, thank you for your answers . About the Fryer Cleaner the thing is company i work in gets it in a package of other stuff but doesnt use it at all and my manager said that if i find some chemical use for it or a way to make anything from it i can take all that had stockpiled overtime if it does contain sodium carbonate than i could get some use for it. It's supposed to be used to clean all the awful dirt with ease but they choose not to use it at all .
If it does contain dichloro-triazinetrione i could see some chance at getting some chlorine gas from it or potasium cyanide the same way as from "Pool cleaner" "lookalikes" we got at our disposal in work. Will try taking one bottle of it for some testing in free time .

it's supposed to clean all burned up and stuck old dirt in deepfryers but restaurant i work in choose not to use it and it always does come in chemical packages still.
And Magnesium Chloride we just use to defrost pavement now apparently they bought it this year over NaCl bc city ordered them to and they arent to happy about that since it's a bit more expencive. I know i used to see a lot of interesting reactions with MgCl2 but they all seem removed from yt, etc
 
By the way, magnesium chloride also perfectly precipitates silver chloride (AgCl) from silver nitrate.
Much more effective than NaCl.
MgCl2 + 2AgNO3 = Mg(NO3)2 + 2AgCl

I guess if people are making their own crucibles, that would be indeed useful.

Magnesium oxide crucibles apparently have a melting point of over 5000F. Quite useful indeed!
