Making nitric acid failed

I use this process for my nitric, seems to work so far, gives about a rough 45-50% concentration, great for silver as is. Cost 12-13$ a liter to make.

I am newbie at this, been reading and trying for a few years, so far so good!

I live in Wisconsin and it's currently 5°-10°F. Could this method be attempted outside? If so, is it safe to use some sort of heat source to keep the liquids from freezing? Would the HCl be enough to keep it from freezing? Just curious

If you are using HCl then you have more serious problem than the cold.
