Making Stannous from EDO RAM

HI, Title says it all I scrapped a heap of edo ram today and some of it is tin plated, I was considering bathing the tin fingers in HCL for some stannous. Has anybody ever done this and how much in finger weight would be needed?

if you want to make test solution, even though it is tin, it still has other metals such as nickel and copper which will contaminate the solution and alter your test results. for test solution, you should use the purest form of metals and chemicals that you can get. the reason the 95% tin/5% antimony is recommended is, hcl does not dissolve antimony.

Ok geo thank you, thought maybe possible cause I thought it was just copper and solder mask with it, guess it goes in deal with later pile
