Hi friends!
You all have a skill and expertise in finding and recovering precious metals. There is nothing forcing any of you to spend your time and give of yourselves to help people like me to learn the art,but for some reason you do! many of the people who have come have learned alittle and vanished and I know that sometime many of you get discouraged and probably wonder if it's all worth it. I think the time has arrived for me to let you hear what your kindness and giving has done for me and my family.
I'm a sixty-year-old father with young children. I feel like I'm thirty, everything works like thirty, I pour concrete, lay block, 12hr days in the summer, have a sixteen year younger wife who can't keep up, I do martial arts, skateboard park and the trampoline park with the kids and have the attitude that I'll live to be a hundred and be shot to death by a jealous husband! We bought an old house eighteen years ago, did alot of work on it and made it home.
A few years back, calamity hit and I searved my time in hell! I won't go into great detail, but it was one of those times when it rains it pours! When you think it can't get any worse, it does! Two auto accidents, neither my wifes fault, I had to stay near the house to care for the family and could not do my money jobs ( remodeling restaurants for the greeks) Ended up finally doing a job on a restaurant in Illinois. Three months into it the guy went bankrupt...etc The final thing was the mistake I made in buying the house in racine . They've done it all wrong and now they have no revenue, no business so they are pounding the home owners with the property tax compared to everyother community around here. we were so far behind you get depressed and just give up! The house isen't worth salvaging, work has picked up and we are back on track but have been in forclosure for along time are letting it go. You may have noticed from my posts lately, It was hard to be excited about my refining because everything was up in the air! so I tried to help noobs and offer what advise I could. Durring the worst of it I discovered the Gold Refining Forum and met you wonderful people! The effort all of you put into helping me learn gave me a light at the end of the tunnel and the dream that the gold money, if I stashed it away, could be the net that could keep us from per-haps becoming one of the homeless families that you read about. My fear for the family was, who's going to rent to a sixty year old with three kids and horrible credit? )
Well with the skill you helped me develope I spent the nights and we hours of the mornings squeezing gold out of everything I could lay my hands on and I just want all of you great friends and mentors to know the results!
On may 1st I'm closing on our new home in North Cape, wi. It's an old farmhouse with a large two story shop/barn out back. The town is called Raymond and before the housing crisis you coulden't buy a home there! Country setting and everyone with money from racine and some from Milwaukee want to buy there for the sckools!
I am paying for our new home and my future gold lab and scrap work area with the gold money. It is a land contract and they don't care about my credit! All I have now is a $400 payment for 60 months and I own it free and clear! Just like buying a new car.
I want to give my heartfelt thanks to all of you. I have no words that can convey how I truly feel about all of you! You are more than friends, you're like family!!!
So! If any of you feel discouraged just remember that your giving can touch people in ways that you can never imagine!
Thanks again!

Art, I feel your pain. Best of luck to you in your future endeavors.
I, myself have hit bottom and am trying to deal with what has been sent my way.
My wife had surgery in Feb. and came out paralyzed. She's currently in a nursing home getting therapy to try to regain any movement.
Asking my extended family to keep her in their prayers.

I have no intent on highjacking your post. I have been wanting to say this for a while and this just seemed to be an opportunity.

Best Wishes to you and your Family. John.

maynman1751,
You and your wife are in my prayers.

Art,
It warms my heart to hear you will be getting some land and a home, for your family, I understand how hard life can be, and how a little hope, hard work, and opportunity, can help in those life's trials. Thanks for sharing this with us, I still remember when you first started recovery and refining, I knew that you would do well with it, but I never expected it would lead to you being able to help you provide you and your with a fantastic home in the country, and give you that new outlook with life.
I also feel this forum is "members helping members" and it is great to here you tell your story of how the forum has worked to help you.

Hey Friends!
Thank you so much for the kind responses and the wishes you all offered. The post was for all of you,to know that you make a difference.
I'll give you a little detail about everything now that the deal is final and I'm starting the process of making it home.
In the few years since I stumbled in here, I was able to bank almost $17,000 from the gold sales. there was some that I recoved that I had to use the money from for bills or to get by, but I put it back in when I could.
I,ve been house hunting for a year and a half and finaly found this one. It need alot of work. 1880's farmhouse! Large outbuilding ( was built as a horse stable with a hayloft above. I'm really excited about putting the place back in shape and making it home!
Anyway! I tried to deal with the owner and he wanted the listing price $49,900 wanted 25 thou down if he did a land contract. guy is a fool! Realtors would find buyers but the banks would not lend on it. the place was filthy! finally guy hit bottom and took $24,000 cash from a couple who took one of those seminars. I kept watching and caught them when they realized what they had gotten themselves into ( prices from contractors) I offered them 36K, $15K down, and 6% on the balence, They accepted it. All we have to do now is pay $400/mo for sixty months, Like having a new car payment, and it's ours free and clear!
If any of you would like to see what you helped us with, you can google "3638 Hyw. 45, raymond. can't see much. alot bigger than it looks!
I'll post some pics as we get going on it.
Thanks again! artart47

Nice ole house, that has historic value also, I am so happy for you and your family, I can tell you working on those old houses can be fun, but a lot of work on an old back, they were built well, not like they build them nowadays, Looks like you will have room for your gold lab also.

Waiting to see those pictures.

I love success stories ! Especially when it comes from the hard work and dedication of the individual to over come adversity.

Congratulations !!!

Can't add any more then what has already been said. I relate very much to your situation at 70 with a 12 year old daughter, 21 year old son and a wife of 30 years 20 years younger then I. I won't go into details Just suffice to say I relate very much to you. I am inspired and have renewed hope of duplicating your success and too very much appreciate the guidance of the forum members and inspiration you have provided.
