Got the roofing materials, free osb to sheet the roof delivered and have begun some carpentry repairs. As time allows!

Hi friends!
Work is under way! Called everyone that owed me favors to come and help. So. I'm doing the roof all by myself, as time allows. next rebuild kitchen wall and new porch boards. Then get started securing the barn and setting up for gold recovery! It's filling up with computor scrap fast.

Hi everyone!
A little update on the house! Finally got the roof on. Hardest roof job I ever did. 1800's wood shakes and all the layers. I rebuilt the front porch and tore off the side entrance and built a roof there. Next, will be to replace the rotted kitchen wall and some windows to try to get it ready for winter.
We moved in and are kinda roughing it. I love the place! Wife hates the place. Boys are getting used to it but want a trampoline. was alot cheaper when they used to want leggos!

I did something very similar once. I'm sure you are making a lot of memories that the kids will remember for a lifetime. It is special to have a family that sticks with you when times get tough and pitch in to help make things get better. Better get some wood cut, Winter is just around the corner!
