i try with 70% HCL + 30% Nitric it work very effective but i think it too effective till the silver or nickel also strip off on the gold-plated connector pin , i just put in less than 20second it work very fast , i just want the gold to strip not other material.pls help :shock:

I suggest you choose one of the various methods promoted on this board to strip the gold, or use nitric acid to dissolve the base metals first. Using AR (nitric and HCl) isn't a smart way to recover gold that is plated on base metals. You will encounter many problems, including losing some of the gold because it will precipitate on the base metals.
