I came up with about 300 lbs of mostly late 60s and early 70s e-scrap. I was told it was medical equip. I'm sure it will do well. I'm still new and it is a very slow process, I would like to speed up. I live in Oklahoma City and wondering if it would be best to have it processed and if so who. Thanks Terry

Nice old looking scrap. Crack the top off one or two of the
black rectangular IC's and see if they have gold hidden inside.
Some of the older chips seemed to have no visible gold on the
outside but when you crack the top off.

Anyway, you can start by snapping of the gold fingers and
sending them to me. I'll refine them for you for free. I have
surplus AP sitting here in need of a good time. You pay freight
both ways of course. The only problem with this is that I stink
at melting the gold powder. I may try Steve's mini furnace
again if you want to see what a little chunk-o-gold looks like. 8)

PM me if you want to play.

I wouldn't have a problem with your "special" buttons. Pirate earrings are cool

Personally I think you have a wonderful opportunity to learn the processes needed to get your values out here. If this scrap owes you serious money then maybe get it refined as fast as possible if not get reading while taking your scrap apart sorting it into various types.
Check out lasersteves site and the links to the forum handbooks and read C.M.Hoke which is also available. Your golds not going anywhere and the pleasure in actually holding your own button from your hard work is one you will have forever.
Take it nice and slow and fully understand the processes before starting refining read and read and then if your stuck just ask, help is on hand.
