I used to recycle in North west UK and was running a weee deposal site, this site was very important back the especially hokes book, I'll keep you posted on my results

I have 125 litres of used acids. With an iron girder sitting in comfort.


P.s can anyone supply stannic chloride. Hcl. And nitric?

Stannous Chloride is just Tin dissolved in HCl.
Pewter will do.
HCl you will find in hardware shops and similar as Muriatic acid or Brick cleaner.

So why did you not remove the zip ties and whatever it is holding.
Anyway there is something wrong as the blue color indicates Copper and that would cement on the Iron.
What pH does it have?

If that iron girder has been in there for twenty years i think you're safe to treat the solution as waste and any pm's will have cemented out.

Stand it up on the end, so the metals can fall to the bottom, re exposing a fresh surface. A stir once in a while doesn't hurt either.

I guess so.
But the result may nit be fully trusted as that Tin may contain some Gold.
Soldering Tin, Pewter and so on are easy to find.

I have tin, just no hcl, I've looked at muriatic acid, it's path cleaner in the UK, I can't get specifics on line, or anyone recommend a brand? Some I noticed have lemon scent, I'm used to known acids and could just get them easy, delivered next day,

Muriatic is HCl.
