Quite awhile ago I put a gallon of CuCl2 into a bottle from a batch for backup (very nice emerald green). I was planing on eventually starting a second bucket but never did.
So today I took that and when I poured it out on the bottom was very orange mud. Attached is a picture, I removed as much of green CuCl2 and used water to rinse it out.
I'm not sure what it is. I mixed a little with new HCl it got lighter and then added some chlorine but it is still a light orange. I tested it and it was negative for PM.
Any thoughts
Thanks
