Rinse in HNO3. Possible to add a little HCl. Filter.
You may repeat the process. Yield - very good

Thanks Lino,
I will try that. the material is marked 10% Pd and is a paste like material. sticks to everything it touches.
I will roast some to dry and then try the HNO3 rinse. I read somewhere to drop the Pd by raising the Ph. wouldn't sodium chlorate work as well?

Is done most simply with Zn or Al.
You may save some by raising pH
with NaOH to 3. Chlorate has another
purpose

Works with gold, not palladium. If You please
you may try hot formic acid, but the smell...

hehe yes, but not like butyric acid hehehe :)))
Well some 20 years ago there was a guy who deliberatly spill butyric acid around and in the cars( in summer windows were little open) that were parked in front of his home :)
Imagin this: You parked car,and when you return, you sit inside and suddenly you smell intense odor of vomit, and you began vomiting to! Damn!
Of course he was crazy organic chemist hehehe
