Met a guy who claims he has identified 50 g/ton of Pt in gold tailings. He needs investment to buy a large ball mill to run tons of tailings to validate his findings

If they are tailings, they have been pre treated and crushed fine for leaching already. He could move about the pile in an organized grid, maybe with a post hole digger, and take cores across the grid and mix it well, cone and quartering, and then do the same to the smaller pile and continue until he has a decent representative sample. He can then have that assayed by a reputable assay house and come here, post his assay results, and describe his sampling method in detail with photos and estimates of total tailings quantity. Then maybe he can find someone to believe him. Until then, it's just crushed rocks.

I find that claim to be rubbish in honesty , I’m happy to admit I don’t know about ores or rocks but PGMs tend to be more likely in Nickel deposits than gold which is why one of the largest PGM refiners was a nickel refiner.
