Question on Red copper

Hey, ive been tearing apart a lot of little electronic boards that have small spools of copper on them with a square box that holds them together. some i have noticed the copper is red in color, is this copper or something else? I will snap a picture tomorrow to post. Thankyou in advance

It's called cherry, worth about #2 at scrap, there's a red epoxy coat on it.
