So does anyone deal with these sticks (the ones with silver colored fingers)? And what is the best process that you have had the best results with in removing this silver?
 
only use metal with known content to make test solution. there could be other metals on the stick that may give you a false positive or a false negative.
 
yes, the connections are tin but like gold its on a copper underlay. copper resist attack from hcl but hcl will still dissolve some of it. beside you can have cross contamination from these pieces being next to other things. I'm just saying that when it comes to something as important as testing you should use the purest cleanest material available to you.
 
Yes, inside chips. Gentleman do yourself a favour and do some research here on forum. Use search and go through old posts. 99% of your questions will be answered this way and you will pick up more valuable info on your way.

Not only will the simple question you are thinking of now will be answered, but you will find tons and tons of better information you never dreamed existed, and we do not waste time with the same old simple questions, making it harder (spending time answering) and (making the forum full of the same old stuff to weed through when you are looking for valuable information), the forum is loaded with new members questions already, reading will answer all of them.
