ram sticks

afterlooking for the best way to do ram sticks i came across a video (i think was geo) about useing a sandbath to depopulate cellphone boards, it was a good video :mrgreen: ..anyway i was goin to use sandbath to do the same for the sticks of ram, my question is does it matter what kind of sand? im currently looking for a gas hotplate, i got a pan, just not sure if matters what kinda sand ....

tomorrow i go get a bunch of stuff im trying to keep up on sorting and getting stuff ready while i study more for this i realy want to do it but i want to do it right and safely and i know that there is smart ppl here that can help

i used play sand i bought at lowes.less than $3 for a 50# bag. i did screen it very small. that way i could remove the tiny MLCC's but with ram sticks (unless your doing many pounds at a time) i wouldnt worry about screening it.
