its simple. if its silver chloride, the hcl/Cl will have no effect. it will dissolve any gold and leave the silver chloride as is. filter the solution and rinse the filtrate well. now you have gold in solution and silver chloride in the filter.

well that was the method i needed, it worked. the gold is precipitating right now and i have what remains in the filters. later il work i finding out if what remains is silver. in which i and like several of you had told me in the beging of this project, believe is silver
