Not heresay, back in the 90's Metech in Rhode Island had it's plant manager and superintendent hauled off to jail for theft. Something about silver from government work if I remember correctly. A big part of that operation moved to California.

It would seem there are so many crooks in this business. But then that could really be said about any business, it's just easier to cheat in this one. It takes people of real integrity to save the business from the crooks who ruin it for us, so thanks to all the honest refiners out there. All...one of you, I guess :)

Does anyone know of a reputable refiner in So. California? I am a gold prospector, and have moved into collecting jewelry and computer gold as well. Thank you

Hi folks,

I'm in Maine and have a gold claim and am currently sitting on a hilarious amount of ore. Does anyone know of a reputable refiner in New England? Thanks!-Ty

What form is it in? Has it been crushed to at least -40 mesh? Do you have an assay? There are plenty of refiners in New England but you better know what you have going in.

If you know the answers to these questions PM me and I'll give you some suggestions.

There are no 'claims' in Maine. If the 'ore' is on private property, it belongs to the owner or the person that owns the mineral rights for the property.

Irons,

In his defense, zero is a hilarious amount of ore to be sitting on. :p
