i built a small cell using copper mesh and a lead bar, which seemed to be the most typical go to for a reverse electroplating cell. i put just enough sulphuric acid to cover my lead anode. and made a small basket out of copper wire mesh for my cathode. i put a small amount of plated pins into my basket and turned it on. after about 5 minutes i noticed my copper basket begin to dissolve. as well my lead anode began building up copper, with a small amount of deposit in the bottom of my vessel. i believe i set my amps and volts to high. i'm using a sky top power stp3005 dc power supply. so im wondering what the best setting for volts and amps or if i am maybe doing something wrong.

The deposit on the bottom should be gold. The concentration of acid should be over 91%. Voltage about 7.5v should be enough
