I am confused as to where the gold "mud' goes after you finish your electroplating? Does it go to the bottom of your dish or does it stick to your cathode or both.

We usually refer to it as stripping rather than reverse electroplating. That may get you more information as you use the search function.

The gold very slowly settles to the bottom of the cell.
