Recovering the nitric will result in, a.o., cadmium sulfate, how will you treat the chemical waste, I hope it's not "draining it down after "neutralizing" but removing toxic salts by forming hyrdoxides or carbonates that can be filtered off to discard clean water and offer the hydroxides to a recovery plant.

Sulfates have to be roasted at dull red heat to decompose them to metal oxides and SO2.
