In the AP video he ended up with 3grams of gold fingers before it was liquified with hcl/cl. So is it safe to say that it would actually yield 3grams of percipitated gold as well from the 3grams of foils or what would be the weight or yield of percipated gold be?

in a perfect world foil weight would equal precipitated weight. but that seldom happens, i'm not afraid to say it will never happen. there is always extra weight in the foils (moisture,dust,organics,solder mask,base metal) depending on your work habits and the length of time between the dissolution of base metal and dissolution of foils. the time factor involved amounts to collected trash, every time the foils are exposed to the environment it collects trash (dust,hair,skin,string,moisture) so never expect the weight in foils to equal refined weight.
