Here we go >just enough to be dangerous 8)

I noticed something the other day in one of the recent posts
I believe it was to much nitric as we see so much

Some one had mentioned 30ml of hcl and 9ml of HN03
to drop gold from 3lb of close cut fingers
Now ,,, correct me if i am wrong but that would be around 5 or 6 grams
on the low side maybe a little less

i cant imagine some one adding 5gm of smb to 39ml of water
with out it turning not so liquid any more and then adding to
your solution
wouldn't the gold powders rise above the level of the solution which
would of course be impossible (or it would be called raising your gold)

This is one of those things that you do 100's of times thinking it's the
best or right way only to realize it is not

i cover my foils with Hcl in my beaker then spray the rest of the stuck foils with Hcl
also into the beaker then add small amount of bleach
i prepare a second container equal in volume of solution to water and equal in smb to Au
i then mix the two
i usually end up with 400 to 600 ml is this OK
thanks steyr223 rob
