I thought it was obvious that I was being facetious because the first poster made a comment that I was trying to pull an Aprils fool joke and sell him 700 ounces of knives. I know the difference in knives with stainless blades and forks or spoons that are all sterling. This obviously wasn't the correct place to try to sell the group. The 700 ounces I was referring too is just solid piece, nothing stainless. I sent them to melt today so all is good with me. This would have been a money making venture for the right person that wanted to spend the time on eBay.

This is a refinning forum not a place for collecting stuff to sell on Fleabay. If you were not serious about the offer then there was no use in you putting it up for sale here. Play the games like this some where else.

Who said I wasn't serious about offers ? I was welcome to all offers, I don't think it is outrageous to try to get 91-92% of spot on the items I had.

Here say

olelucky we have a pretty sharp group of people here on GRF, we even have a forum " The Best of Ebay ". You should of hung around a bit longer someone could have recommended an honest refinery that gives honest weight, good pay and fast turn around.

I know all the refiners that pay honest rates....Midwest, American Recycling, etc. I was simply offering this group to someone that might be interested. Like I said, I realize now this was the wrong place, but that doesn't mean I was playing games or being dishonest in any way.

First poster asked for pictures and brand names. You didn't provide solid evidence so whatever you tried to sell was cat-in-the-bag. Answer received exactly matched question you asked. (24k? This is not Paris club or G8, most members work hard on this kind of money)

Yeah, Harold has a bridge to sell. I can vouch for his honesty.

Dont feel offended. This all is a funny situation. It is like to go to Sotheby`s website and post that I have large quantity of paintings for sell. And then when asked about what I am offering go on that it is few Monet, Picasso and stuff. Do not take it wrong but it looks like April joke.

HEY If Harold's selling a bridge I'll buy it.
 I'm just in that kind of mood today.

He is letting me handle the deal for him, I will send you a PM on price and payment arrangement's.
I'll say it again. Love your humour.

You should be getting better rates than 90%. PM me next time you ship these large amounts. I can't pay for shipping on silver, but I can help on the logistic side (namely insuring; I can have it insured).

Best,

Lou

Yeah i see that now, it's the way you wrote it that had me thinking you were serious about only buying knives for 10 years.
A smiley  at the end of your comment would have fixed this
