will the stones in my scrap jewelry be destroyed in acid ( while refining ) real diamonds fakes etc..

Diamonds and CZ's will be fine as will most colored stones, emeralds tend to appear hazy as fine cracks appear because they were oil enhanced. Opals are fragile so be careful not to handle them too much. Pearls and corals do not make it.

Everything will have a coating of silver chloride on it which can be removed by soaking in warm ammonium hydroxide.

do ppl on this forum buy stones? or only metals
Please do yourself a favor and lose the texting jargon when posting. Speak in full words and sentences if you expect anyone to reply to your inquiries, especially if you hope to receive responses that have merit. There are far too many chances of less than proper advice being dispensed when one's question is not clearly stated, or if a response is posted that is, essentially, in code instead of clear and concise English.

okay.. do some of the members on this forum purchase stones as well? or does everyone only purchase metals?

better?

I think most members here mainly care about the metals.
If you have stones to sell post them in the for sale or trade section.
Then you will find out if anybody is interested in stones.
