I've searched the forum but couldn't find any information after about 2 hours of looking.

About 2 months ago, I purchased a couple of video tutorials from LazerSteve and am looking into the Electro Deplating system.

I have about 7 pounds of plated material ( pins, connectors, jewelry, etc.) that I'm looking to play with using this process. Almost 2 pounds of my Telecom Connectors and over a pound of RF connectors have insulation and, what I believe to be teflon in the hollow RF connectors, still attached. The contaminants are difficult and time consuming to remove as can be seen in the pics (unless someone can steer me in the right direction for removal).

My question is, should all of these contaminants be removed prior to attempting the deplating process or should I even be concerned? I'm aware of the fact that if I don't remove the "teflon" from the insides of the RF connectors, it will be difficult to get at the plating inside. Thanks in advance for any information.

Remove the Teflon to expose the gold plating on the inside of the pieces.

Run the clipped off female pins in the cell directly as is.
