Ok i precipitated what looks like 3 grams of gold dust so far. how long do you guys normally let it sit there. its been there 5 hours for me and the solution is still light brown yellow. should i be worried about the Ph being too low after using the clorox method. im currently making stannous chloride though out of solder wire to test but this will take a while.
So happy that this process is 95% over after 5 months of struggles. ha

Leave it there to sit overnight, that is what I usually do.

For next time, or for anyone else reading, it's better practise to make your stannous chloride before precipitating your gold.
Then you can use a tiny sample of gold solution to confirm that the stannous solution is working correctly.

Only with your stannous confirmed, could you be confident that a negative reading means the remaining yellow solution does not contain undropped gold.
