The best way to remove gold from RAM and metal pins

Hey guys, new to the forum and i made a few attempts to do research on the best way to remove gold from RAM and from metal pins that have gold plating; the best i can come up with is using nitric acid but one way was one step and the other was 3 steps, anyone have a good way for RAM and for removing gold from metal pins ?
