I set up an IMGur due to the high bandwidth being used by such large resolution photos (these are exactly half resolution of what they were when taken). http://imgur.com/a/gIlI4 http://sometimesthedragonwins.imgur.com is the full resolution albums. but they are like 5 mb a piece

Anyways i have exactly 117 timeplex boards, CSU/DSU's, and other various multiplexing equpment from the early 80s (dept of energy) , photos are in the imgur gallery. What would y'all recomend i do with it, send off to ohio? Anyone in las vegas wanna refine it for a cut? honestly i need my garage back. http://imgur.com/DzZMMit This is my garage.

In all it is between 200 and 250 pounds of these boards. and like 10 chassis/link 2+.

havent been here for too long so pretty much im just asking for advice from some of you with a bit more experience.

Nice lot, I would say scrap it. Too bad I'm a bit too far away or I would have taken you up on this lot.

There's a nice bunch of MLCC:s with palladium on many of the cards, not surface mounted but with legs. But it would take quite a lot of work to remove them all by hand.

One alternative is to scrap the metal and sell the cards as is to boardsort.

Removing all of the components wouldn't be too hard h have access to a reflow oven suppose i could just throw it in there and wait , and give it a little shake most componants should fall right out. . Anyways thanks for the reply.

Another question is, does anyone have any previous experience with refining the PM from any timeplex™ equipment and how did it go? Ungodly amounts of Frankincense and mir? or big ole waste of time?

I still have the chassis for all except one link 2+. Those was only keeping due to the fact that someone MAY actually be wanting to use the cards but that is a pretty hugemaybe, leaning more towards no. the Backplanes on these weigh about 7 lbs a piece. so they will be removed b4 the chassis meet the dumpster .

Anyways offer is out there if any of you near to Vegas are down. Im honestly just curious of the process and ways to do it without killing myself or my horses or poisoning my well. (yeah its 700 feet deep but still lol)

Open one of the main imaging units. It should have all kinds of video jacks. There should be at least one or maybe two ceramic processors and a bunch of video graphics acceleration chips (BGA).
