This may be one of those unanswerable questions but, i would like to ball park it as well as possible. I have a local urban miner who has moved to a condo and can not process his recovered flakes. He offered them to me 4g for $40. I have not processed my 20 gs yet so I don't know what to expect as a loss in Harold's wash process which I want to wait until enough to yield 1oz or better before I process. So I need a # to shoot for. Would any one advise me with ball park % of loss in the wash and melt process. Thanks.

Thanks Geo. Am I correct in a loss of about 66% from unwashed state to final product. Great contest by the way.

Thank you. Of coarse no two batches will ever be the same even with the same material and the same weights. I can say that I'm pretty sure that the yield on the foils in the contest was as close as you can expect.
