Used smb?

Ok I learned my lesson and read Hoke, and several hours worth of this forum, and now have properly dissolved my base metals out of a batch of cpu pins with a hcl leech in a crockpot. I have a gold bearing solution (hcl+clorox) but was wondering if the smb that I dissolved into a non gold bearing solution about a week and a half ago can still be used to precipitate (I saved the solution of hcl/clorox and 3x water that did nothing as there was no gold in the solution.) Or do i need to obtain more smb and start over.

I would say you need fresh one.
Do no overdo with smb. If you expect 5g of gold use 5-7g of smb. There is no point to use 100g of smb that will not push out gold which is not there anyway.
