I roasted 5 pounds of assorted Ic chips, crushed the ashes and pulled out all the dies and heat spreaders. I started using the magnet and wires were jumping up to it. I washed those wires and started them in hcl to remove base metals. So I thought I got out all the magnetic wires and was ready to move to the next step when I dropped the magnet into the ash and when I pulled it out it had additional wires wires on it. Confused I tested to see if I had just missed stuff but it seemed like these wires only stuck to the magnet once it made contact with them. My question is if these wires are different then the ones that were jumping out of the ash. Perhaps any alloy,or to heavy to just jump out but I'm processing them separately from the other wires just in case. I tried searching for this but didn't see anyone else mention it in any of the ic chip threads. Thanks for your replies
