Hi there...guys...i realy need your help...i havee 200
ml of gold scrap,plated scrap gold solution ,aqua regia
Solution,it is a dark greenish,brownish solution and
I dont know how to get the gold out it...my worries are that there
Is copper to in the solution i assume that is why the solution
Is so dark in color.should i add magnesium ribbon,or smb
What if i add one of those and the gold will not cement...
What do i do the???please guys...what is the best solution to
This problem?i just do not want to throw away 5grams.thank you very much
 
Step one, describe what you have done. Source of material, filtering, which acids you have used and so on. Without knowing what you have done it is hard to give good advice. If someone misunderstand what you have done you could even get bad advice.

The better you describe your situation, the better advice you will receive.

when your in this much doubt, add to your solution a heavy piece of copper and cement all the values out of solution. give it a few days. rinse whatever is left of the copper back into the solution and let everything settle until the solution is clear. it will still be dark, when i say clear, i mean not murky. siphon or draw the solution from the powder and rinse the powder with water. re-dissolve the powder with hcl/Cl (hcl/bleach). let the chlorine evaporate overnight and drop the gold with SMB.
