I would sell the fuse and fuse holder if you still have the plassic parts for it. Worth more money that way the one I use cost about 30 dollars mine takes 0ga wire tho and keep collecting man

good start, small but good, i have one simply rule when it comes to "is it worth processing" ...... if i keep enough of them they will be, so everything i see gold on, or in, i keep. i have buckets, boxes, jars , and bottles filed with various items, and plan to keep collecting, and storing untill i find the correct process for each little item, untill then, i just keep reading and taking notes! good luck man!

Keep at it!

I'd guess you have about $4 worth of gold there (after processing, which would not be worth doing until you have a lot more stuff) - maybe a little bit more.

In e-waste, you have to think BIG and LOTS OF STUFF before it gets into any serious money, but for fun, you have a nice start!

Think about what rheslin2 said about buckets and buckets of parts - that's when you have some potentially serious cash.

But, here's a tiny 'teaser' for you - just took this pic this morning....

It took a lot of computers, boards and cell phones (most of them get sold off to 'pay the bills' - this is just the 'overflow' stuff!), but a nice little 'savings plan' in hand!

Keep up the good work - set your goal and go for it, the stuff is certainly out there!

Now that I've finished wipping the spittle from my mouth from drooling.
Makes me want to go out and start taking cell phones from drivers using them.
Ha h ah aaa. It's illegal to use a phone while driving. Wonder when they'll make it illegal to read the paper or apply make up....

Mittens, great beginning. It all starts somewhere so keep digging and look at everything and deside if you would put gold inside. Why would this need gold?
I've been finding it in the strange places, like older wireless phones from back in the 80's...um 90's?.. Or how about all those kid games that flashes and makes noise.

Mittens,

Great photos of you e-scrap, it seems you have the gold bug!! I started like this and some of the things that I am learning from this site is. When I scrap something I put like parts and pins in the same jar. I need to post a photo of how I am doing it to get some good advice.

Rob

Mittens,

This is my set up, I've been collecting for quite some time now until I know what I am doing. Will post one more photo. Enjoy.

Some matieral are from tantalum capacitors, monolithic capacitors, crystal resonators , mica capacitors, the one jar on the right is zinc. I just wanted to show you that, there many good parts to save and collect. Good luck on your quest and Welcome.

Peace
