I have quite a stack of spent filters from various processes containing various metals. I do not really have them separated according to which process they were used in. I am wondering if I should just throw all filters in diluted AR solution and heat for a bit to dissolve all values, then precipitate the values according to reactivity series. Or if there is a better way to incinerate the filters without them blowing out of the crucible. I have a good idea of how to process them but I figured I would see what everyone else thought and might give a few tips.

If they contain gold salts:

High yielding filters I collect separate and put them directly into AR. Those are mainly filters I used to recover small amounts of gold and dried, because I wanted to weigh the gold fast as possible.
