IMG_0032.jpegHello, I have got some rolled gold and gold plated watch cases and straps but I would not want to refine them myself to be honest I just want to send them off for refining.

I have not got lots but it is a mix of rolled gold, gold filled, 10 micron, 20 micron etc in quite worn condition. (There is more than shown in the photos of course)

Can anyone offer me advice on the best way to sell this? Who have you used in the past? What percentage do they take? I’m based in the UK.

Any responses would be really appreciated, thank you in advance.

Unless you have a few kilograms of this material where a refiner will melt and assay it for you (and charge accordingly) you will never really know what is in there so a refiner can never be held accountable for the payout you receive.

Having had many in thread discussions with small refiners on this forum, I can say your best bet, if you don't have enough for the melt and assay option, is to strike a deal with someone close to you in the UK and work out a percentage of yield payout.
