i read in platinum recycling that a person after adding urea to an ar solution and then when there is dificulty in precipitating with smb,he adds this white britte to the solution and all the gold brown mud is formed and precipitated---please i would like to have some information of this product and if someone in the forum did this?and what chemical this white britte is?

it is just adding urea until the ar stops fizzing and then white britte(no smb or other precipitant)

Here is the MSDS for White Brite. It has smb in it, that why it works to drop gold.

Arthur:

Look on the web (Google) I'm sure that you can find Sodium Metabisulfite.
It's used in beer and wine making. I can buy it here on ebay. You should be able to find it down there.
