Harold, thanks that means a lot to me, I know I still do not write well on the forum, still not sure about paragraph’s and the like, but you have never commented again about the poor grammar, I do try to make them readable, and make some kind of sense.

Harold many of us here have great respect for the work you do for this forum, and have come very fond to have you around, keep up the good work. The forum's success is in large part your work here.

I have never been a perfectionist, it truly must be a problem for the man who doe's, having a hard time being satisfied by his own work, I have always admired there work, but glad I did not suffer that problem, I can make things really nice and be satisfied, or make some ugly tool to get the job done and be satisfied.

Highly agreed.
It's nice to have pleasant mod's like you and steve on here. You guys keep everyone happy and I never see you two saying anything out of line,or offensive.
It's been nice for sure.

this thread has turned into something very interesting...its been the first i check on when coming here for the past few days. its nice to see those ive learned so much from open up and share a little personal information about themselves, that which allows us to know them on a higher level. i think that means a lot on the grander scale of what this forum is...

thanks for that...the same goes twice for the sharing of your knowledge, especially since it sometimes takes a lot of patience to do so. haha, some may argue that youre just bored, but im sure most of us know better than that!

I agree with Arntor. This thread as gone about as far off-topic as we get around here, but in a good way. It's been interesting to follow and has helped to almost "put a face with the name". It's so often that you talk to someone on the phone or chat with them in an environment such as this but never really get to know them as a person. It's amazing how far off your perception of a person can be!

One of the most interesting things about this thread, for me, has been the similarities that many of us seem to share. I grew up in a home with modest means and have had to work hard for what I have. I grew my hair way past shoulder length for many years and have had a beard for more than 25 years. I do have some close friends, but my wife and I prefer to keep to ourselves for the most part. I have had to assume a more conservative appearance in my capacity as operations manager for a trucking company, but it hasn't changed me inside.

I bought a 20 acre farm bordering part of Wayne National Forest when I was 23 and had to let it go back to the bank 6 years later after a divorce. I'm now living just outside of town here in Appalachia and it's not too bad, but not where I would ideally be.

I also carry more often than not, mostly concealed, due to the fear it seems to bring to some people. If only they would understand I would use it to protect them as well as myself. The world is getting to be a more scary place and that is part of the reason for my interest in gold and silver. It's harder for inquisitive people to know what we have gleaned from scrap.

I very much enjoy the sense of community we have here, with people of many races in many countries, and none of the petty B.S. that religion or politics would bring if our moderators were not as diligent as they are.

Thank you everyone for sharing, and thank you moderators for tolerating this now off-topic thread.

I don't even remember what I was trying to find when I started reading this thread but what I found out is that I don't think I could have found a better place to satisfy my curiosity about all this chemistry stuff. I am not a bit ashamed to say I take pleasure in smashing the stereotypes that are directed at myself or something I am passionate about. Peace...and thanks for sharing. Respect is something I give out freely until I get convinced that I have no business doing that anymore.
