Hi Folks may i start by thanking you all for your time and input, As I've been learning a lot from this site over the years.
I've got around 3.3kg of wash coat that has came from foiled doc cat's and I've attached some pictures of the wash coat.
all so of the xrf test results some in mining mode and some in general metals.
I have two pp fume hoods and one 20kg propane forge and some knowledge, but far from an expert. Ive all so read Hoke's book on refining and watched every video on sreetips on you tube and have an respectable understanding of the hazards that come with pgm and refining them and there salts.
Is it worth trying to recover the pgm's my self or pass them as they are to an refiner. All so an rough estimate on how many grams do you guy's think could be recovered from 3.3 kg.

This is a type of scrap I am not familiar with. How did you process your starting material (catalytic converters?) to selectively remove a surface film (wash coat) from the converters? Were these from converters containing beads, honeycomb, or mixed?

Maybe with a bit more detail someone will come back with a procedure from actual refining experience.
