I am looking for someone to help me, preferably in the Colorado region, with finding someone with experience with Tellurides, Ancient Mesoamerican ingot alloys, Tumbagos, Archaen Green Gold (ore), or even ancient "shoe shaped" silver and gold ingots.

I have recentlyi nherited many gold rich mineral samples, tellurides, ancient ingots, ancient gold ingots made with black epoxy resin, Rhodochrosite sample, (1 meteorite with Peridot, ie Pallasite) a large 500 gram rough Peridot, and other valuable minerals & alloys. I really would just appreciate some help on how to sell or process some of these items and because I have no real experience refining I don't really know where to start.

I appreciate any help and if someone is willing to work with me I am happy to share in any profits as long as you are genuine and decent and a good human to work with.

Here are a few of samples,

Thanks in advance,

John

Here are some of my photos

Thanks,

John

One of the rocks pictured might be rhodochrosite. With absolute certainty I can say that none of the rocks you have pictured are ingots of any kind, nor do any of your rocks have visible characteristics of meteorites.

Time for more coffee.

Sorry to bore you but many of those pics show alloys over 18 kt (Au) proven to me through a variety of means. How difficult is the dealloying process? I guess thanks for acknowledging my rhodo, lol.

I hope you have a great day

None of these have the quality expected to be called specimen.
And none looks even close to man made nor metallic, hence they can not be ingots.
Peridot is also missing as far as I can see.

If you can give a text to the images it might be easier to see what you consider ingots and so on.
I hope you have not used scratch tests to "assay" your rocks as they only work on metal not rocks.

In the correct term nothing is called de-alloying, it is called refining and what we do here.

I hate to rain on your parade but none of your rocks looks even remotely metallic hence I doubt they will be anywhere near your claim of 18k , not sure how you came to that conclusion or what tests you have done but I fear you may well be wasting your time chasing around with them, had you got a proper assay which you posted with your rocks we might have a hope of helping you to recover any values should there be enough to warrant the effort.

Might take your collection to the Colorado School of Mines in Golden. The geos at the mineral museum could sort out the rocks and the Metallurgy/Mineral processing folks could point you in the right direction for the rest.

I see a bunch of rocks that looks IDENTICAL to stuff I could fish out of a random river bed or pick up on a mountainside in northern NJ. The pitted brown one looks like nothing more than a common type of basalt found in large quantities in a magma intrusion into the diabase that makes up the Sourland Mountain formation in central NJ.

One of the dark smooth ones with a dark greenish tint might be serpentine, or even a jade if it has the right hardness and translucency.

As others have said, and I will confirm, NOTHING there looks even remotely man-made, or ANYTHING like actual mesoamerican ingots, pictures of which can easily be found online: https://scienceinfo.net/data-images/thumbs/500yearold-gold-ingot-of-aztec-empire-thumb-GpYX11HZZ.jpg

I did picture test on a piece of silver ore.
No matter what I did to the phone camera I could not get the brilliant shine from all the crystals in the rock.
This rock shines with small silver crystals throughout.
Looks like a rock. EDIT: Actually you can see them. Could not on the camera but when magnified they are there.

Good morning guys

To Amalgamation.

I believe that You have some interesting rocks
the pictures is not he best quality
But i have seen ,maybe I’m wrong because the quality of the picture is very dark

I guess You have Telluride and because You get it from Colorado
Where is very Known to have Telluride.
even around North and Southwestern of Colorado State.
and of course at all around Telluride Colorado.

Picture #3 is very interesting, but because the bad quality of the picture we cannot see all the details.

Pictures # 7,8,9,10 I guess are the same
And are very interesting,i guess I seen some kind of sulfide
But personally i guess is Telluride
but i can be wrong.
please take some example crush it and send it to a lab.
to know if it is Telluride or not.

Remember Always use a respirator that can filter out all the powder.
Never breath those powder, can contain silica and other bad stuff and be dangerous.

Picture #14. ,man I really like that one
the purple color and the structure of those shining thing
can be Telluride ,please to be sure send an example to a lab.

Picture #16 ,I like that one as well.
send an example to a lab 👍.

picture #20 I guess is the one You suspect to be Peridot.
I guess You or some one found it in a river or in a dry wash.

Picture # 21 I like that one as well
send example to a lab👍.

Colorado have a very well known mining history, there is lot of institution with equipment, maybe they can help you to ID those minerals in those rocks.

Like the others members advice You
the first thing to do ,If You suspect to have Ore with value Is.

Crush it to a fine powder and send it to a Lab
they will test it and in few days they will send You an email or a call or both
whatever You want.
and they will let You know if You have values and what kind of minerals in those rocks.
Edited.

Extracting gold and silver from telluride is quite difficult.
and Telluride is Not easy to handle.

Because Telluride can be and be very toxic
You will need equipments and Knowledge.

And Always Safety first .
don’t risk your life for a piece of rock.

the best thing to do,if You don’t have the knowledge to do so.

is to sale your telluride ore if it is confirm by a trusting Lab ,that is Telluride in your rocks and how rich it is.

or if You have a mine with those minerals
You can sale it and can make a profit.

keep in mind that the measure of oz per tons
if base in the Telluride only
Not counting the gauge rocks
