Non-Chemical Cell phone screens

Those tiny little cell phone screens for the most part, have a little gold where the screen and connector meet. Is there any other gold or any other PM's on the screens? If so, whould it be just in the connector area or all over the screen? I imagine the only method of getting to it would be to pulverize the screen into a powder and then treat with the appropriate chemical bath. Just wondering. I would hate to throw out anything if it still contains values.

You might want to save them, they have rare earth minerals, I haven't bothered to find anyone who recycles them yet, but I am saving them.
