i would like to know de average gold percentage recuperated from plated wires--thanks to everyone who have some information.i am deplating heavy gold from iron wires and want to compare results

Sadly there are too many varieties of plated wires to be able to do this Arthur. They are produced for specific roles with specific plating thicknesses.

I know of the many roles of plating thickness--i just am looking for the range of thickness porcentages--Thanks Anachronism for your reply.regards

I have processed many drum of copper wire used to hang work on racks for gold electroplating and I tried to come up with an average grams per pound figure. Unfortunately the results varied drastically from drum to drum to the point I concluded that an average number just isn't of much value.
