Hey guys,

I've come to the realisation that I'm too small to warrant refining myself (taking in to fact handling the dangerous chemicals and and the volumes of gold scrap that I produce) but then I saw this online and it looked alot safer to use. I don't know anything about electrochemistry, I've been reading hokes book and haven't got to anything on that yet. Now is what they show even possible?? If so it looks easy enough to do possibly even make your own set up.

I'm a jeweller in a small workshop and I produce small amounts of scrap, we are doing a lot of casting now and our clients are bringing in scrap to use which in the past has not been possible to use because we use casting houses which depend on selling their own gold. Now we are setting up to do all in house casting and I would like to be able to refine customers gold back to as close to pure as possible without too much messing around time wise (I know that is a big ask but I need to as I won't be paid for this time) then alloy down and cast. This system looks nice and easy and basically works on its own over 24hrs while I can be working at the bench.

Here is the link to the system I'm talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=h6kMdwQmJVg

Aaron

I think that the REFINEIT system was discussed in detail on this thread started by the inventor.

$2,450 without the power supply and $2,750 with it. Can't see it being a big seller.
