Hi Everyone. I have been using Hcl/clorox for dissolving gold for sometime now and getting good results. The other day I used pool chlorine which I Believe is calcium hypochlorite and not sodium Hypochlorite, the gold dissolved no problem and stannous tests confirmed gold in solution. I have tried to drop it using ferrous sulphate which I have done before with no problems but this time it refused to drop. I used 250mls Hcl to 50 ml pool chlorine. The Chlorine used was 13% which I diluted down to 5%. I used 1150 grams of 13% chlorine which is 1 litre to which I added 1840grams of water which should have yeilded 5%. I assume it is the excess chlorine preventing the gold from dropping but was wondering if it is because it is calcium hypochlorite?
Thanks
